This report provides a detailed analysis of the environmental benefits associated with recycling, commissioned by the Bureau of International Recycling. The objective is to evaluate the impact of recycling on sustainability, particularly concerning various metals. The methodology includes an overview of primary and secondary metal production, focusing on aluminium, copper, ferrous materials, lead, nickel, tin, and zinc, alongside an assessment of their energy requirements and carbon footprints.
