This study explores the sustainable implementation of modern technologies in forests, primarily focusing on the Internet of Things (IoT), to enhance forest environment monitoring and data analysis. The objective is to identify and assimilate innovative technological interventions that could significantly improve forest ecosystems. Various intelligent systems for real-time monitoring and analysis methods are discussed, specifically in the context of forest fire incidents, illegal logging, and poaching. The research also proposes generalized architectures for future advancements that would facilitate data collection and processing applications, such as flora analysis and forest fire predictions, without altering existing forest management systems. Furthermore, the paper highlights strategies for improving tribal livelihoods through the marketing of minor forest products and monitoring wildlife within forest environments. Key recommendations include the establishment of effective connectivity, sustained deployment of real-time sensing systems, and energy harvesting solutions, all of which are essential for the successful integration of digital networks into forest ecosystems.
