In the context of increasing global water scarcity, this study aimed to design and implement an intelligent irrigation system that optimizes water usage in agricultural practices. The objective was to create a system that automatically adjusts irrigation schedules based on environmental conditions, thereby enhancing efficiency and sustainability. To achieve this, a combination of software and hardware components was utilized, including Arduino programming for sensor management and Xbee modules for data transmission. The methodology involved researching the principles of irrigation systems, followed by the development of both the software interface and the physical components necessary for system implementation. Results indicated that the intelligent irrigation system successfully monitored soil moisture levels and adapted irrigation timing accordingly, thus conserving water while maintaining crop health. The findings underscore the potential impact of intelligent irrigation technology in addressing water scarcity issues, providing a model for future agricultural innovations. This study highlights the intersection of electronic design and environmental management, showcasing the importance of technological solutions in sustainable development practices.
