This study combines experimental and numerical approaches to evaluate the thermal, economic, and environmental performance of hot rotating cylinders used for thermal management in industrial dairy systems. A realizable k–ε turbulence model in Ansys Fluent software was applied to simulate the thermal–fluid interactions within a Prandtl number of 5.5, covering 36 design scenarios developed using the Taguchi method. The effects of heater power, angular velocity, and rotation direction on heat transfer were analyzed using characteristic patterns of isotherms, streamlines, and Nusselt number variation. The results reveal that the optimal configuration (Case 2) enhances heat transfer by 24.8 % compared with the reference scenario.
