Gold is a precious metal commodity used in many industries, and its production processes play a critical role in meeting market demands. This study aims to conduct a process reengineering analysis on the production of gold at PT Antam, Tbk., one of Indonesia's largest gold producers, with the objective of reducing cycle time and enhancing production efficiency. The methodology involves identifying waste in the current production processes through Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and optimizing layout and facilities to align with production capacity. Current challenges include a lack of recording and standardization and an absence of digitization that lead to significant losses and high cycle times. The results are anticipated to show improvements in efficiency and product quality in the Precious Metal Processing and Refining Business Unit of ANTAM, hence responding effectively to the increasing demand for precious metal products. Through this approach, the study aims to not only streamline operations but also contribute to the overall competitiveness of gold production in the Indonesian mining sector.
