This study examines the reduction potentials of zinc at varying concentrations, specifically focusing on [Zn(II)] total of 10^-5 and 10^-8 M. The objective was to determine how these concentrations affect the reduction potential and to analyze the differences in behavior when zinc is subjected to different oxidation states in the presence of H2O and O2. The methodology involved conducting electrochemical experiments to measure the reduction potentials under controlled conditions. Findings indicated that the reduction potential fluctuated with changes in zinc concentration, showcasing a specific trend in Zn2+ ion behavior in electrochemical cells. Furthermore, the study elucidated the impact of different complexes formed with cyanide ions in altering the reduction potentials of zinc, signifying the importance of concentration in electrochemical reactions. The results underscore the significance of concentration on electrochemical properties, providing insights that may be beneficial for future research in the field of analytical chemistry and material science.
