This deliverable presents an extensive overview of the recovery processes for refractory metals from secondary resources, which is becoming increasingly significant due to rising industrial demands and resource scarcity. The objective of this study is to evaluate current technologies and methodologies utilized in the extraction and recovery of these metals from various secondary sources. The methodology involves a comprehensive literature review and analysis of existing processes in different industrial contexts, including mining, mineral processing, and metallurgical techniques. The results indicate that while advancements have been made in recovery techniques, issues such as efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impacts still pose challenges. The findings highlight specific methods that show promise in enhancing recovery rates while minimizing negative environmental consequences. Overall, this report serves as a crucial resource for stakeholders looking to improve the sustainability and efficiency of refractory metal recovery in Europe.
