The Covid-19 pandemic has gone out of control all over the world causing nearly five million deaths. Number of affected persons keeps increasing and there is a huge problem of providing essential items for them. The objective of this project is to design an Automated Delivery System, which is suitable for Sri Lanka during such pandemic situations. Due to the pandemic, delivery personnel are reluctant to reach affected areas, creating challenges for residents in obtaining essentials like food and medicine. To address this, the research proposes an unmanned automated delivery vehicle system intended for use in locked down areas of Sri Lanka. This vehicle operates without a driver, ensuring compliance with health guidelines while ensuring safety and security. The implementation of this system can be expanded to various locations such as private apartments, hospitals, and supermarkets, facilitating the automated delivery of essential items. The proposed delivery solutions aim to be a low-cost alternative, specifically tailored to meet the needs of developing countries during crises like the Covid-19 pandemic.
