With the rapid development in treatment and diagnosis methods, parallel advancements in hospital planning and design are essential. The current research aims to explore the relationship between the shape of public hospital buildings and their economic feasibility. Utilizing Construction Information Modelling (CIM) technology, the study analyses different hospital shapes and their impact on cost reduction through a feasibility study. By examining the distribution of various hospital elements such as internal residences, clinical departments, and support service areas, the research identifies how building design influences economic decision-making. The methodology involves applying BIM technology, particularly the Revit software, to create architectural drawings and inventory all construction elements, facilitating a comparative analysis of two distinct hospital shapes. Results highlight significant variations in costs associated with different forms concerning construction elements like fines, columns, and walls. The findings underscore the importance of adaptable hospital designs to accommodate evolving healthcare needs while optimizing economic outcomes. This research contributes valuable insights into architectural strategies that enhance both the functionality and financial viability of public hospitals.
