Now-a-days Power factor is very important in the industrial world for the efficiency in the system. Here, in this report we have seen basic definition of power factor, theoretical calculation, measurement methods. Many methods are available for the measurement of power factor like Electrodynamometer type for analog and XOR gate for digital. Correction of power factor is approached for increasing the efficiency of the system.
