The atmospheric re-entry of a space object (operational or not) is defined as its return to the surface of the planet. Space Debris can suffer a non-negligible action from atmospheric drag, which leads to the initiation of the natural re-entry process of these bodies. This work aims to map Space Debris families that, after an atmospheric re-entry lasting up to 2000 seconds, reach locations in the Washington, DC area and nearby regions. By conducting a survey of Space Debris, the authorities will be equipped to develop security protocols designed to safeguard properties, individuals, and aircraft from potential collisions with space debris. This study addresses the challenges posed by the increasing density of space debris generated from over 50 years of space missions and highlights the need for proactive measures to manage the risks associated with these objects as they interact with the Earth's atmosphere. Through this research, we aim to enhance understanding of debris behavior during re-entry and its implications for public safety and environmental protection.
