Abstract

Language:

This press release discusses a positive development regarding metallurgical optimization testwork activities for the Namdini project by Cardinal Resources Limited. The objective of the study was to evaluate the leach recovery results and their potential impact on project economics. Methodologically, the research includes pilot scale testwork using the AachenTM process, which has been successfully deployed at numerous gold-producing operations, particularly in Africa. Initial results indicate significant improvements in gold recovery rates, with values ranging between 2% and 19% compared to existing processes. Notably, the AachenTM testwork has demonstrated reduced power consumption and reagent usage, leading to lower operating costs while improving the mass transfer of oxygen and reactivity of reagents. Cardinal Resources has undertaken extensive testing of over 6,700 kg of samples from various drill holes to support these findings, and the final phases of testwork aim to further substantiate the potential enhancements for inclusion in the Namdini Feasibility Study. Overall, the results indentify opportunities for enhanced financial outcomes in the project's development.
