This study addresses the leaching and recovery of molybdenum, nickel, and cobalt from mineral sludges generated by metals recycling plants. The objective was to investigate efficient methods for extracting these valuable metals from waste materials. A systematic methodology was employed, utilizing sulfate and sodium sulfide leaching techniques to enhance metal recovery rates. Experimental results demonstrated significant recovery percentages of molybdenum, nickel, and cobalt, indicating the potential of using these sludges as secondary raw materials. The findings highlighted the effectiveness of acid and alkaline leaching processes in extracting metals from complex waste matrices. This research contributes to advancing sustainable recycling practices in the metal processing industry and underscores the importance of developing efficient recovery techniques for valuable resources embedded in industrial waste. Ultimately, the study presents a viable approach to reduce environmental impact while encouraging resource circularity in the mining and metals sector.
