In the present world which is continuously looking towards advancement in technology power is very precious. So it is necessary to find out the causes of power pollution and methods must be adopted to minimize the same. Industries mainly have inductive and nonlinear loads, leading to a low overall power factor due to increased intake of reactive power by these loads. This study investigates the application of embedded technology, particularly microcontroller-based systems, to develop circuits for automatic power factor correction. By implementing the proposed techniques across industries, power systems, and households, the stability of electrical systems can be enhanced while remaining economical. It becomes evident that embedded technology provides an efficient solution for addressing power quality issues related to harmonic distortion and power factor reduction, ultimately improving the operational efficiency of both domestic and industrial electrical loads.
