This document presents an overview of amplifiers, which are defined as quadripoles designed to enhance the amplitude of an electrical quantity without altering its waveform. The objective is to characterize amplifiers based on various parameters such as linearity, frequency response, input and output impedance. The methodology includes theoretical concepts and practical examples to illustrate the workings of ideal and real integrated linear amplifiers. Results indicate that while an ideal amplifier can achieve infinite input impedance and zero output impedance, real amplifiers exhibit limitations, including non-linear behavior and constraints on linearity as dictated by external parameters. Additionally, the text discusses the frequency response using Bode diagrams to determine bandwidth, along with entries on single supply and rail-to-rail operational amplifiers, which operate under different voltage conditions. This comprehensive analysis serves as a guideline for understanding the practical applications and theoretical underpinnings of amplifiers in electronic circuits.
