The technological process of aluminium electrolysis is a complex scientific and technical task, influenced by many internal, external, and resultant factors. This study aims to analyze these factors and their impact on the electrolysis technological process while developing a comprehensive mathematical model for aluminium production in a Soderberg electrolyser. Various methodologies are employed, including an analysis of primary aluminium production based on the Bayer and Hall-Eru methods and a review of existing computer modeling technologies. Modern analytical techniques for thermal and electromagnetic fields in electrolysers are also considered. The research identifies critical factors influencing primary aluminium production through system analysis, leading to a ranked list of influential factors and their representation in a Pareto diagram. A conceptual model of the technological process is derived, followed by the formulation of a mathematical model based on this conceptual framework. This research is expected to aid metallurgy specialists in analyzing technological processes in aluminium production.
