Flotation is a well-established method in mineral processing, particularly for the beneficiation of low-grade and complex ores that cannot be efficiently concentrated by physical methods. The objective of this study is to explore the effectiveness of flotation methods, specifically focusing on the interactions between bubbles and particles as a critical factor influencing flotation efficiency. Methodologically, we analyze the bubble-particle attachment time, which quantitatively reflects the interaction efficiency. Our results indicate that shorter bubble-particle attachment times correlate with increased flotation efficiency, highlighting the pivotal role of bubble size and interaction frequency. Additionally, we discuss how bubble coalescence impacts flotation performance by reducing collision efficiency, particularly for smaller particles. This study not only underscores the importance of optimizing flotation parameters, including reagent selection and bubble characteristics, but also emphasizes the need for further research to enhance the understanding of bubble dynamics in mineral flotation processes. Through these insights, we aim to contribute to improved flotation methodologies that enhance recovery rates of valuable minerals from challenging ore types.
