A myriad of digital resources that can be used for educational purposes, referred to as Learning Objects, has emerged on the Internet. The primary objective of the scientific research community is to ensure these Learning Objects are readily accessible to a diverse audience including companies, universities, schools, and lifelong learners. This paper discusses the challenges of locating Learning Objects with 'non-English' metadata, which are often more difficult to discover compared to those with 'English' metadata. It explores the process of localizing these learning objects, emphasizing the importance of adapting content to different languages and cultural contexts. The localization process involves three main steps: adjusting to the local environment, translating and adapting the user interface, and translating the documentation, including metadata. To enhance the discovery and exchange of localized Learning Objects, a method termed Localized Metadata Enrichment (LME) is proposed. This method specifically focuses on metadata enrichment through Cyrillic transliteration, aiming to improve the accessibility and usability of digital learning resources in a multilingual context.
