The focus of this research is to explore the isothermal and non-isothermal properties of 4-oxy-4'-cyano-biphenyl (80CB) Liquid Crystal (LC). This paper reports on the data collected from the technique of Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and the behavior of 80CB when heated from 0°C to 100°C and cooled from 100°C to 40°C at ramp rates of 5, 10, and 20 °C/min. The thermal speed, acceleration, and jerk were calculated using LoggerPro to understand the molecules' behavior under the influence of repetitive heating and cooling, with a specific focus on potential degradation in the nematic phase. The data highlights the increased heat flow during isothermal segments as the ramp rate rises, which is crucial for the application of nematic LC in Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs). The findings have significant implications for optimizing the temperature management of LC materials in electronic applications, providing insight into their performance stability during thermal cycling.
