This study investigates the relationship between waste characteristics and the formation of mineral deposits in leachate collection systems, addressing the environmental implications associated with waste management. The objective of this research is to understand how various waste types contribute to mineral precipitates that can clog leachate collection systems, facilitating better management practices in engineering projects. Methodologically, the research involved systematic sampling and analysis of leachate from various waste sources, followed by the examination of mineral deposits in laboratory conditions. The results demonstrated a significant correlation between specific waste characteristics, such as organic content and metal composition, and the types and amounts of mineral deposits formed. Additionally, the study revealed that certain waste combinations could lead to increased clogging potential due to elevated mineral precipitate formation. This research provides valuable insights that can inform the design of more effective leachate management systems and promote sustainability practices in waste disposal. Ultimately, understanding the dynamics of mineral deposits in leachate systems is crucial for enhancing environmental engineering solutions associated with waste management.
