The NEC Event Management System aims to facilitate automatic monitoring of environmental status and occupancy within designated spaces using various sensors. This study focuses on designing a system that includes temperature, lighting, humidity, and occupancy sensors, which collectively derive critical measurements like ambient light levels, temperature, humidity, and estimated occupancy. The primary objective is to equip administrators with tools to access real-time environmental data and historical averages for any hall. The methodology encompasses using Factory and Model-View-Controller (MVC) design patterns, along with GRASP principles such as inheritance, polymorphism, low coupling, and high cohesion. By constructing design class diagrams and sequence diagrams for adding events and viewing current temperatures, the study provides a detailed framework for the software architecture. Results indicate that the implementation of these design patterns not only enhances system maintainability but also improves user interaction by offering a streamlined interface for monitoring environmental conditions. This report serves as a comprehensive overview of the design and functional aspects of the NEC Event Management System.
