The science book "Application of Solar Energy" edited by Professor Radu Rugescu aims to explore various aspects and advancements in solar energy technologies. The objective of the publication is to provide insights into the efficiency of solar energy systems, including the high thermal efficiency of gravitational draught via concentrated solar heating, as well as novel technologies for producing organic fuels using solar heating. The methodology encompasses a series of seven chapters that examine new types of photovoltaic cells, the long-term viability of thermal solar power plants, and the effectiveness of thermal storage solutions. Additionally, specific applications of solar power in Niger are presented, enriched by illustrations and images that facilitate understanding. The findings presented demonstrate the significant potential of solar energy in various applications, contributing to the discourse on renewable energy solutions and sustainability. This comprehensive compilation not only highlights technological advancements but also promotes practical applications of solar energy both regionally and globally.
