Non-destructive testing (NDT) is critical in ensuring the safety and reliability of materials and structures in various industrial applications. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of different NDT techniques, focusing on their applicability in various contexts, including aerospace and civil engineering. A comprehensive literature review combined with experimental methodologies was employed to assess the strengths and weaknesses of techniques such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and magnetic particle inspection. Results indicate that while each technique offers unique advantages, their efficiency is largely dependent on the type of material and the specific defects being assessed. For instance, ultrasonic testing shows superior capabilities in detecting internal flaws, whereas visual inspections remain relevant for surface-level assessments. This research contributes to the field by identifying best practices for NDT application, ultimately improving safety protocols across industries. Furthermore, practical recommendations for integrating these technologies into routine inspections are presented, offering valuable insights for engineering professionals. The findings suggest that a strategic combination of these techniques can lead to enhanced material integrity assessments, thereby reducing long-term operational risks.
