ETUDE DE LA FLOTTATION DES MINERAIS OXYDES A GRANDE CONSOMATION D’ACIDE PAR LA GANGUE

This work presents the results of a batch flotation study of oxidized minerals of sample of the ores of the KOV mine grading 1.3% Copper, 0.14% cobalt and 5.7% Calcium as feed content, of which 92% copper and 93% cobalt are oxides. The aim of this work is to improve the quality of the oxidized concentrate produced by flotation, by using different reagents and sulfurization by controlling the potential for to have a concentrate of good copper and cobalt content with a good yield. It should be noted that the processing of dolomitic gangue ores at the Kamoto Concentrator more particularly in the High Gac circuit generally leads to poorer performance in use in the flotation of copper. The difficulties associated with processing dolomitic gangue ores are explained by several phenomenas, in particular contamination of the surface of the particles of the mineral useful, a loss of selectivity and the adaptation of reagents to optimize flotation conditions.
