This report presents an audit and optimization study conducted for the SOMISYS.A. gold roaster in Syama, Mali, aiming to improve operational efficiency and performance. The objective was to evaluate the current roaster operations and identify areas for optimization based on process audit results and historical data. Methodologically, a comprehensive site audit was conducted, involving the analysis of operational parameters such as air flow rates, temperatures, and feed compositions. Key metrics were evaluated against industry benchmarks to ascertain compliance and identify discrepancies. The results revealed significant insights into the operational dynamics of the roaster, highlighting critical parameters that affect efficiency, including air flow management, temperature control, and feed rate optimization. Recommendations for operational adjustments and future monitoring were formulated to enhance overall efficiency and output. This report provides valuable guidelines for operators and stakeholders involved in gold roasting processes to implement best practices and achieve optimal results.
