In the present work, a survey of various types of solar thermal collectors and their applications is presented. The primary objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive understanding of solar thermal collectors, devices that absorb solar radiation and convert it into heat for fluid heating. The methodology includes a review of existing literature and analysis of solar collector systems, discussing their basic components and installation issues. The results indicate that solar thermal systems significantly contribute to reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption, with a potential to save considerable amounts of natural gas and electricity. The paper elaborates on various types of solar collectors, including stationary and tracking systems, along with their indicative temperature ranges and applications in different sectors. Furthermore, it demonstrates the positive environmental and economic impacts of utilizing solar energy. Overall, the review highlights the versatility and effectiveness of solar thermal collectors in addressing contemporary energy challenges.
