This document addresses the advancements in pyrometallurgy, focusing on the containment of furnaces used in high-temperature material processing. The objective of this work is to highlight innovative methods and materials that enhance the efficiency and safety of pyrometallurgical processes. A comprehensive review methodology was employed, collating contributions from various experts in the field and compiling findings from recent studies and experiments. The results indicate significant improvements in furnace performance, including greater containment capabilities and enhanced thermal management, leading to increased throughput and reduced material degradation. Furthermore, the findings underscore the critical role of material selection and design in optimizing furnace operations. These advancements pave the way for more sustainable and efficient industrial practices in pyrometallurgy. This work serves as both a resource and a reference for future research and development in the field.
