This dissertation explores the leaching processes of copper and cobalt from sulfide ores using sulfuric acid and sodium chloride media. The objective is to investigate the efficiency and kinetics of metal extraction in this specific chemical environment. A systematic methodology was adopted, incorporating experimental designs to assess the influence of various parameters such as temperature, acid concentration, and sodium chloride composition on the leaching rates. Results indicate that optimal leaching efficiencies can be achieved under controlled conditions, highlighting the importance of temperature and sodium chloride concentration in enhancing metal recovery from the ores. The findings contribute valuable insights into the extraction metallurgy field, particularly in improving processes for the efficient recovery of valuable metals from complex ore types. This research serves as a foundation for further studies aimed at optimizing extraction methods and developing sustainable practices in metallurgical engineering.
