Rare earth elements (REEs) are essential for a variety of technological applications, prompting the need for efficient extraction methods from aqueous solutions. This thesis aims to investigate hydrometallurgical techniques for the extraction of REEs, optimizing conditions for maximum recovery. The methodology involves a comprehensive literature review coupled with experimental procedures, where various extractants and solvent extraction techniques are evaluated under different pH levels and temperatures. The results indicate that certain extractants significantly enhance the extraction efficiencies of REEs, with specific conditions yielding up to 90% recovery rates. These findings contribute to the development of sustainable and economically viable methods for REE extraction, addressing the growing demand for these critical materials in modern technologies.
