With the continuous climate change we are experiencing, extreme heat, drought, and declining water supplies affect our rain-fed and irrigation systems, resulting in a higher demand for water for evaporation and evapotranspiration by crops, which lead to more frequent soil moisture deficit. This study aims to address issues regarding irrigation management by designing a water-recycle model to efficiently utilize the limited water supply for irrigated rice. The proposed design integrates renewable energy to pump water from a catch basin back to its source, optimizing water usage to reduce wastage and shortages. The methodology involves analyzing current irrigation challenges and implementing innovative strategies that minimize water head loss from seepage, infiltration, and percolation. The results indicate that the water-recycle model not only conserves water but also enhances the effectiveness of irrigation practices, providing a sustainable solution to the growing demand for agricultural water in the face of climate change. This approach promises to maximize water savings in irrigation while minimizing environmental impacts.
