This research evaluates the potential of polarization parameters as reliable predictors of quality for zinc electrodeposited from acidic sulphate solutions. The objective was to identify the relationship between polarization measurements and the quality of zinc deposits, focusing on factors such as current efficiency and morphological characteristics. A systematic methodology was employed, involving experimental setups to measure various polarization parameters, including the nucleation and plating potentials, as well as current efficiency analyses across different electrolytic compositions. Results revealed significant correlations between the polarization parameters and the electroplated zinc quality, with variations in electrolyte compositions leading to notable differences in the deposit characteristics. The study indicates that monitoring polarization parameters can serve as an effective tool for predicting the quality of zinc deposits, thereby enhancing the understanding of the electrocrystallization process. This insight holds important implications for the optimization of electrodeposition practices in metallurgical engineering and the advancement of electroplating technologies.
