Abstract

Language:

Mine to Mill strategies have been utilized for over two decades to optimize mining operations by integrating the mining and processing stages. Despite achieving productivity enhancements ranging from 10 to 20%, certain aspects of Mine to Mill remain poorly understood, along with a lack of appreciation for the variety of its applications. The objective of this work is to summarize effective methodologies for implementing a Mine to Mill strategy and to address the technical and organizational challenges that must be navigated for successful application. Employing an analytical approach, this text examines case studies that illustrate two decades of Mine to Mill practices, showcasing the diverse applications available. Contributions from seasoned practitioners in the field illuminate critical success factors. The findings are intended to serve as a resource for managers aiming to maximize the benefits of Mine to Mill techniques in their operations, providing a comprehensive handbook for enhanced effectiveness.
