This report provides an investigation into the microwave processing of gold ores aimed at enhancing extraction efficiency. The objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of microwave heating in a fluidized bed reactor for processing gold-bearing materials. Methodologically, varying samples were subjected to microwave irradiation at different temperatures and treatment durations, followed by comprehensive analyses including scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), thermogravimetric analysis, and gas adsorption techniques. Results indicate significant alterations in material properties post-treatment, with reductions in sulfur content and variations in particle size distribution observed. The findings contribute to the understanding of microwave-assisted processing in mineral beneficiation, highlighting its potential to optimize resource recovery in gold extraction processes.
