This work presents an interdisciplinary perspective on improving energy efficiency in industrial energy systems by identifying and addressing various barriers, conducting energy audits, and implementing energy management practices, alongside analyzing relevant policies and programs. The objective of this study is to establish a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing energy efficiency in industrial contexts. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies was employed, including case studies and statistical analysis, to gather data on energy consumption patterns and management strategies. Results indicate that significant potential exists for enhanced energy efficiency within industrial sectors, contingent upon the resolution of identified barriers and the effective implementation of tailored energy management systems. The research underscores the necessity for collaborative efforts among stakeholders, including industry practitioners, policymakers, and academic researchers, to facilitate the transition towards more sustainable energy practices. The findings suggest that systematic energy audits and the adoption of innovative policies can lead to substantial energy savings and improved overall performance in industrial settings.
