Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa), an important ornamental plant, faces several challenges from pests and diseases that can significantly impact its cultivation and market value. This paper reviews integrated management strategies for root knot nematodes and other prevalent pests such as blossom midges and root mealybugs in tuberose production. The objective is to provide effective biological and chemical control measures to enhance the health and yield of tuberose flowers. Methodologically, the study synthesizes information from various sources on pest management practices and highlights the use of bio-pesticides, cultural practices, and fungicides. Results indicate that applying bio-pesticides like Trichoderma harzianum and Pseudomonas fluorescens, along with cultural practices like proper spacing and irrigation methods, significantly mitigates pest infestations. Additionally, the incorporation of chemical treatments such as chlorpyrifos and propiconazole showed effectiveness in controlling both fungal and insect pests. This holistic approach not only addresses immediate pest issues but also promotes sustainable practices in tuberose cultivation. The findings advocate for the adoption of these integrated strategies by growers to improve tuberose production quality and quantity.
