Abstract

Language:

The green building concept is adopted in this work as the main approach for assessing and implementing environmentally friendly building practices in accordance with the Indonesian Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Regulation No. 21 of 2021 on Building Performance Assessment. The study aims to analyze regulatory requirements and green building criteria and then apply them through a literature-based review of energy efficiency, indoor comfort, green materials, water management, waste management, economic aspects, and site considerations. Using secondary data sourced from scientific articles (2014–2024) collected via Google Scholar and analyzed with tools such as Mendeley, VOSviewer, and Publish or Perish, the paper maps research trends and key themes in green building. The findings indicate growing public and professional awareness of environmental sustainability and increasing discussion of green building in recent years, with energy efficiency and sustainable materials emerging as prominent topics. The study underscores the importance of regulation-based assessment methods and provides insights that can guide building managers in measuring and improving the implementation of green building concepts.
