The potential for waste generation at Merauke district with a population of 223,389 people reaches 111.69 tons per day. Moreover, at the city of Merauke itself, with a population of 98,986 people, the potential for waste generation is 49.99 tons per day. However, the number of customers recorded up to 2019 is only 6,428, with the potential for waste generated being 2.88 tonnes per day. This significant discrepancy indicates the need for a system to facilitate information access regarding the nearest dump and the distance to be traveled. This study presents a Geographical Information System (GIS) for temporary landfill mapping using the Haversine Formula method on an Android platform. The design employs Eclipse with the Java programming language and utilizes MySQL for the database. Results from the application demonstrate that the system effectively maps the closest dump, provides information on its condition, and calculates the distance between the starting point and the dump, thereby assisting the public in locating vital waste disposal information.
