This work addresses the role of reagents in mineral technology, focusing on surfactants and their various applications across different domains. The objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of the types, properties, and operational mechanisms of surfactants used in mineral processing, particularly in flotation and stabilization processes. The methodology includes a systematic review of existing literature, alongside experimental studies and technological assessments of surfactant effectiveness in various processes related to minerals like sulfide ores. Results indicate that the choice of surfactant significantly influences the efficiency of mineral separation and overall processing performance. The study highlights the importance of surfactant chemistry, biodegradability, and application techniques in industrial efficiency. Furthermore, recommendations for future research and application improvements are provided to enhance the effectiveness of surfactants in mineral technology. The findings aim to inform and guide industry practices for optimal resource recovery and environmental sustainability.
